This policy explains how we use personal information when you visit Stop Loss Angel, create an account, subscribe, download Sierra Chart studies, receive operational study telemetry on your dashboard, join our trader resources list, or contact support.

• Profile photo (optional): if you upload a custom avatar, we store the processed image on our servers to display in your account
• Account data: name, email address, password (stored hashed), billing status
• Sierra Chart username: required for study licensing and automated provisioning
• Subscription data: plan tier, trial/paid status, period dates (from our database and payment provider)
• Study telemetry: protection counters (for example widens or cancels blocked, discipline lock events), symbol, study version, tier, session duration while Guardian is on, trades while protection is active, and study-calculated estimated loss-avoided figures — sent from your study when you configure it with your license key as part of the subscribed service
• Download and security logs: IP address, browser user-agent when you download studies
• Support: content of emails or messages you send us
• Marketing (optional): email if you join our trader resources or early-access list
• Technical logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited — typical web server and hosting logs

You provide information in registration, checkout, and support forms. Subscription and payment status is received from our payment provider when you complete checkout. Study telemetry is sent from your Sierra Chart installation when you configure the study with your license key and telemetry URL. Log data is collected automatically when you use the site.

We use personal data to:

• Provide accounts, subscriptions, and study downloads (contract / steps at your request)
• Link your Sierra Chart username to your license (contract)
• Show protection activity on your account dashboard (contract — part of the subscribed service)
• Improve the product in a proportionate way using aggregated operational telemetry (legitimate interests)
• Process payments via our Merchant of Record (contract)
• Keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interests)
• Respond to support requests (legitimate interests / contract)
• Send product updates or trader resources where you have opted in (consent — you may withdraw anytime)
• Meet legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Your Sierra Chart account name is used solely to license and deliver studies to the correct installation. We do not publish it, sell it, or use it for unrelated marketing. It may be shared with subprocessors only as needed to operate the service (hosting, payment reconciliation).

Stop Loss Angel studies run inside your Sierra Chart environment. We do not receive your live broker orders, open positions, account balance, or market data feed.

When you use the subscribed service and configure the study with your license key and telemetry URL, your study may send operational telemetry to us — for example protection counters, symbols traded while Guardian is on, and study-calculated estimated loss-avoided figures. This powers your account dashboard. Core telemetry is part of the subscribed service described in our Terms; there is no separate web-app "enable sync" step and no in-app pause toggle for that core feed. To stop sending telemetry, remove or clear the telemetry settings in the study, or cancel your subscription. You may also contact privacy@stoplossangel.com to exercise applicable data-protection rights.

Separately, the study may contact our servers to verify subscription and license status. That is limited to account and authorization signals, not your trading history.

If we add more sensitive optional fields later (for example session profit and loss), we will require an explicit opt-in before collecting them.

We use trusted providers under contract, including:

• Creem — payment processing, tax as Merchant of Record; we do not store your full card details
• Railway — hosting and database (primary processing in EU West / Amsterdam where configured)
• Resend — transactional email (verification, password reset, and similar account messages)

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security. See Creem's privacy policy at creem.io for how they handle payment data.

Data may be processed in the United Kingdom, EEA, and other locations where our providers operate. Where UK law requires safeguards for transfers outside the UK, we rely on appropriate mechanisms such as standard contractual clauses offered by our providers.

• Profile photos: deleted when you remove the photo, choose a preset avatar, or delete your account
• Account and subscription records: while your account is active, then up to 24 months after closure unless law requires longer
• Download and security logs: 12 months
• Marketing list: until you unsubscribe, then up to 12 months
• Support emails: 12 months from the last message in the thread
• Study telemetry: while your account is active, then up to 24 months after your last event or account closure, whichever is sooner

Contact privacy@stoplossangel.com to request earlier deletion where we can reasonably identify and remove data.

We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookies Policy.

Under UK data protection law you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, to object to certain processing, and to data portability.

Core study telemetry is part of the subscribed service (see section 7). There is no in-app toggle to pause that feed while your study remains configured. You can stop telemetry by clearing telemetry settings in Sierra Chart, canceling your subscription, deleting your account where available, or contacting privacy@stoplossangel.com. Marketing email remains separate opt-in and can be withdrawn anytime (Account → Notifications, or the unsubscribe link in those emails).

You can delete your Stop Loss Angel account at any time from Account → Profile → Danger zone when you do not have an active billable subscription. If billing is still active, cancel or end your subscription in Creem first (see our FAQ on cancel vs delete). You can also contact us at privacy@stoplossangel.com to exercise your rights or request erasure by email. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We aim to respond within one month in most cases.

Self-serve deletion scope and retention limits are described in section 10. Solicitor review is recommended before broad marketing claims about erasure.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls on our hosting and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we become aware of a personal-data breach that requires notification under UK law, we will notify the ICO and affected individuals as required.

The service is for adults. You must be at least 18 (see our Terms). We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact privacy@stoplossangel.com.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change; material changes may be noted on the site.
